I work in gardens, parks and galleries creating sculptural objects,
living structures and temporary installations. Specialising in willow,
wire, steel rods and leather, I use weaving and binding evolved
from traditional techniques. The forms are inspired by abstract
organic shapes in nature but often the materials and weaving techniques
also determine the shape of a piece. My work is about enhancing
the environment and exchanging views with others.
I have created work in the UK, Japan, Canada, France, Luxembourg
and Belgium. I live in Brussels where I have a studio in Forest.
From July 2007 till August 2008 I am exhibiting in the exhibition,
East Weaves West, Basketmaking from Japan and Britain, which will
tour Britain and the Netherlands.
